What is Wi-Fi Calling?

Imagine being able to make calls even when you don't have regular cell phone service. That's Wi-Fi Calling! It uses your home or office Wi-Fi to make and receive calls. Pretty cool, right? Let's get it set up on your Android phone.

Step 1: Get Your Phone Ready
First things first, make sure your Android phone is connected to Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi name: Boater Wifi password: wireless.

Step 2: Find the Settings App
Next, look for the Settings icon "Settings" app. It looks like a little gear icon. You can find it by swiping up from the bottom of your screen to see all your apps or by typing "Settings" in the search bar at the top.

Step 3: Dive into the Network Settings
In "Settings," scroll down until you see  “Network & Internet” or something similar (it might say "Connections" on some phones). Tap on it.

Step 4: Turn on Wi-Fi Calling
Under Network and internet or Connections, look for "Wi-Fi Calling." Once you find "Wi-Fi Calling," tap on it. You’ll see a switch or toggle – slide it to turn it on.

Step 5: Verify Address
Enter your emergency address, then select Verify address.

Step 6: Confirm It’s On
After you’ve turned on Wi-Fi Calling, you might see a little Wi-Fi symbol with a phone icon
