Connect your Ring camera to Boater Wi-Fi

Connect your Ring camera to Boater Wi-Fi

It might sound a bit techy, but it's not as complicated as it seems. Let's break it down step-by-step.

First thing you'll need:
  • Your Ring camera: Make sure it's charged or plugged in.
  • The Ring app: Download it from the App Store (for iPhone) or Google Play Store (for Android).
Step 1: Download the Ring app
The first step is to download the Ring app on your smartphone. The app is available for both Android and iOS devices.

Step 2: Create a Ring account
Once you have downloaded the app, open it and create a Ring account. You will need to provide your email address and a password.

Step 3: Add your Ring camera
After creating your account, tap on the "Set Up a Device" button. Select the type of device you own from the list of devices.

Step 4: Scan the QR code
Scan the QR code or the MAC barcode located at the back of your Ring camera. This will allow the app to connect to your camera.

Step 5: Connect to your Wi-Fi network
The app will ask you to connect to the Wi-Fi network (Boater Wifi). Enter the Wi-Fi password (wireless) and tap on "Connect".
Password is case-sensitive, please ensure to type it in small letters. **
If you have your own custom Wi-Fi name and password, feel free to connect to that instead!

Step 6: Place your Ring camera
Place your Ring camera in a location where it has a clear view of the area you want to monitor.

Step 7: Test your Ring camera
Once your Ring camera is connected to Wi-Fi, test it by tapping on the "Live View" button in the app. You should be able to see a live view of the area your camera is monitoring.
