Step 1: Prepare Your Camera
  1. Open the box: Take your Tapo camera out of the box. You should find the camera itself, a power adapter, and a mounting bracket.
  2. Find a good spot: Choose a place to put your camera where it can see what you want it to.
  3. Plug it in: Connect the power adapter to the camera and then plug it into a wall outlet.

Step 2: Download the Tapo App
Get the Tapo App: On your smartphone or tablet, go to the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android) and search for the Tapo app. Download and install it.

Step 3: Create a Tapo Account
  • Open the app: Once the app is installed, open it.
  • Create an account: Follow the on-screen instructions to create a Tapo account. You'll need an email address and a password.

Step 4: Set Up the Camera

  2. Power On the Camera: Plug in your camera and wait for about 30 seconds. The camera's LED will start blinking red and green, indicating it's ready to connect.

  3. Connect to the Camera's Wi-Fi: Go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings and look for a network that starts with "Tapo_Cam_XXXX." Connect to this network.

Step 5: Connect to Your Home Wi-Fi
